What Clients Are Saying
"Our piano, 20 years old, had never been tuned and sounded "OK", but had dropped in pitch a semitone. Chase corrected this by first raising the pitch of all notes and then fine- tuning. The result is a beautiful sound, like it's brand new again. Chase is passionate about his work and I learned so much from him during the process. Highly recommended."
"Years ago my husband surprised me with a piano for our anniversary. It sat untuned forever and honestly I didn't think much of it. One tuning from Chase later... wow. I actually want to play it now. The difference is crazy. Thanks Chase!"

Common Questions
How does it work?
Schedule your appointment online or reach out to me directly for scheduling, I show up at your door with everything I need, do my work, and you're left with a piano that sounds good again. It's as easy as that!
How much does it cost?
Right now? Nothing. I’m offering free tunings while I build my business as a grand opening special. Grab it while it lasts; the offer disappears July 31, 2026.
How long does a tuning appointment take?
The whole appointment usually takes 2-3 hours. The first 10-15 minutes are spent assessing the piano and getting it ready for tuning. A fine tuning takes 60-90 minutes. If it's been a while since the piano's last tuning, it may need a pitch raise first. A pitch raise adds another 30 minutes or so. Either way, I’ll give you a heads-up before I start. When the tuning is complete, I spend a few minutes cleaning the piano keys and making sure everything looks good before I pack up and head out.
My piano hasn’t been tuned in years. Is that a problem?
Not a problem! Neglected pianos often need a pitch raise before the fine tuning, but I take care of both in one visit. The before & after is usually quite dramatic, so check out the video above to hear for yourself!
One small heads-up: on very old pianos with aged or rusty strings, a big pitch raise does carry a risk of a string breaking. I’ll always assess the piano first and walk you through the options, and nothing happens without your say.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
Just make sure I can access the piano, that it's been cleared of personal objects, and that the room isn’t too noisy while I work. It's also helpful if the home's temperature remains consistent throughout the appointment – this helps the tuning stay stable. I bring all my own tools, including a blanket to rest the piano parts on while I work.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes! Chase Tunes Pianos LLC is fully licensed and insured.
How often should a piano be tuned?
Twice a year is the sweet spot: spring and fall, when humidity swings mess with the soundboard the most. Especially in a climate like ours in south Louisiana. Heavy players might want every 3–4 months. Either way, once you hear how good it sounds after a tuning, you’ll want to keep it that way.
What areas do you serve?
Metairie, Kenner, and the East Bank are available both weekday evenings and weekends. The West Bank, Northshore, Houma, and Thibodaux are weekends only. Not sure if you’re in range? Just shoot me a message and I’ll let you know.

How Out of Tune Is My Piano?
Press Start Listening, then play Middle C — the C note closest to the center of your keyboard. This tool uses your microphone to measure approximately how flat or sharp your piano could be.
Disclaimer: this tool gives a rough ballpark reading of a single note — microphone quality, background noise, and room acoustics all affect accuracy. It's meant to give you a general idea, not a professional measurement. Results can vary from one recording to another. It's usually fairly obvious when a piano has drifted out of tune. When in doubt, book a tuning!
